The “Eye” button will provide a mini-map of the whiteboard showing the place of the content.
By clicking on the Fit all content to screen button, you will be automatically brought to the initial zoom level.
The feature called Pointer will allow you to share your movement and your name with the other participants in the whiteboard. Each person has its own colour of the pointer.
The administrator of the whiteboard can lock the Zoom level by clicking on the zoom percentage numbers. Until the administrator unlocks the zoom level, the participants will not be able to zoom in or zoom out.
In the Navigation bar, on the left side of the whiteboard, you will be able to find the button for full-screen mode. You simply click on the Full-Screen button and then you will be able to work in full-screen mode. The “Eye” button will provide a mini-map of the whiteboard showing the place of the content.
By using the Pan tool, you will be able to navigate through the canvas of the whiteboard.
After you have finished creating the whiteboard, you can go to the Board Menu and choose Convert to a template. This will save the whiteboard as a template and afterwards, you can find it by going to Create from Templates > My Templates.
By clicking on the Board Menu > Save Board, you will be able to save the work on the whiteboard until that moment. Afterwards, the board will be saved automatically after the changes on the content.
You can create a copy of the board, with new link for sharing and a blank list of participants, by clicking on the Board Menu > Duplicate. This will generate a new whiteboard, identical to the initial with its own set of sharing links and a blank list of participants. The “Eye” button will provide a mini-map of the whiteboard showing the place of the content.
To delete the whiteboard, you can go to the Board Menu > Delete. This action is final and it can not be undone.
There are 2 ways to change the name of the board. The first one is to click directly on the name and type the new name and the second option is to go to Board Menu > Rename.
There are 2 options for accessing the saved whiteboards. The first option is to go to Board Menu > Open a saved board. This will open a small window with your board repository in it and you can load the whiteboard from there. Alternatively, you can go to My Account > Board Repository and open the saved whiteboard from there directly.
By going to the Board Menu > Open from templates, you will be able to see all previously created templates in My Templates and the pre-ready templates that we offer. By clicking on the template, you can open a new whiteboard with the template in it.
To create a new whiteboard, you can go to the Board Menu > Create new board. This will automatically open a new tab in your browser with new whiteboard in it.
You can delete the whole content and all pages by going to the Board Menu > Delete all pages. This is an action that will remove everything from the whiteboard, but keep the whiteboard active. This action can not be undone.
Yes, the other participants can export the board as a PDF or image file.
The PDF export will generate a page on the PDF document for every page of the whiteboard and the image export of the whiteboard will export only the page that you are currently on. If the export is taking too long, the PDF will be automatically sent to your email address.
The supported files for upload on AWW are PDF, PPT, DOC and images (both jpeg. and png.). The number of uploaded files is unlimited, but each of the files has individual restrictions: the PDF file can not be uploaded if it has more than 100 pages; the maximum size of the PPT is 20 MB, the images can not be larger than 20 MB and 1920*1920. Also, you can paste files that are copied in the clipboard directly to AWW.
You can resize/rotate the image file before its final placement onto the whiteboard. After placing it, you can move it around but not resizing it or rotating it.
In the sharing options, we have 3 types of sharing: allow everyone to edit, allow everyone to view and share a copy with each user. The option “Allow everyone to edit” will give the ability to the other participants to edit the whiteboard. The option “Share a copy with each user” will generate a copy of the whiteboard to each person that clicks on the link and they will be able to edit only their own copy
With the select tool, you can select one or more objects, duplicate the object on the same page of the whiteboard, copy the object/objects and paste them into another page of the whiteboard, delete the object/objects and lock the object/objects
By locking the object/objects, you will automatically bring the object into the background of the whiteboard. By bringing the object into the background, you will be able to draw on top of the object without impacting it or deleting it. When the object is locked, the “Element Eraser” is automatically activated.
The Undo and Redo functions can be found below the Selection tool, on the top of the left toolbar. The Undo and Redo functions are individual, meaning that only you can Undo or Redo your own actions on the whiteboard. The Redo function will only appear after you have activated the Undo function.
You can choose your own custom colours by clicking on the little + sign in the colour tool. After choosing the colours, you can save them in the colour choosing a palette for using them for later. When you fill the spots with colours, you can click on the colour and replace it by choosing another one from the colour wheel.
In the “Pen” feature, you can choose your own preferred drawing style. The first one is the Pen, then you have the Marker (highlighter), Free-Hand arrows, Straight Arrows and the straight lines. In all of these tools, you can choose the size on the slider below the icons and you can change the colour by firstly selecting the desired colour from the colour palette and then choosing the tool for writing.
The “Eraser” feature has the Eraser, which is a free hand eraser tool; the Element Eraser, which will erase the whole element by clicking on the element; the Scissors, which is a selection for erasing more content at once and the Clear option, for deleting the whole content on the page at once.
At this moment, we have a rectangle and ellipse, both filled or empty.
The Text tool will allow you to pick the colour and size of the text, duplicate it or delete the text.
You can change the colour of the post-it, the size, duplicate it or delete it.
By using the Select tool, you can copy the objects and paste in on the whiteboard. You can paste the objects on any page in the whiteboard.
Below the tool group, you can find the sliding bar for choosing the width of your tools.
When you enable the option for Fixed line width, when you zoom in or zoom out the width of the line will not be changing, it will remain the same as before the zoom in/zoom out.
There are three general ways of sharing the whiteboard with other people: via email invitation, by sharing directly the URL of the whiteboard and sharing the whiteboard via iFrame. Also, there is a possibility to share the whiteboard on social media (Facebook or Twitter) and share it via barcode.
There is an option for entering the name when somebody joins a whiteboard. If they enter their name, you will be able to see that they joined the whiteboard in the chatbox. If they do not enter their name, they will appear as anonymous.
After you have shared the whiteboard with other people you can manage their editing rights by going to the Board Menu > Manage participants. This way you can enable or disable the editing rights of the participants individually.
We have a feature that is called Assignments. The Assignments feature allows you to share a copy with each user and then monitor the individual work by going to My Account > Assignments. This can be done by clicking on the Invite People button and then choosing the sharing option “Share a copy for each user”.
The editing on the individual copies will not affect the other copies of the initially created whiteboard.
You can check the work and progress of the assignment by going to My Account >Assignments
